WV-ASM100 restarts when displaying images. [WV-ASM100]
Answer
(1) If a service has not been stopped when the previous version is uninstalled, the old DLL might still remain and cause a restart when displaying images. (This occurs mainly on Windows Vista.)
-> This can be fixed by deleting the ASM folder completely and performing reinstallation.
(2) If the login user account for Windows contains 2-byte characters, installation of SQL Server and/or Visual C++ DLLs might fail and cause a restart when displaying images. (This occurs both on Windows XP and Windows Vista.)
-> This can be avoided by creating a Windows log-in user that does not contain a 2-byte code, and running WV-ASM100 with that user account.
